I treat AI as a **fast, tireless junior pair** — great for first drafts and exploration, never the final authority. It speeds up the work; **judgment and verification stay with me.** As a lead, how I use it also sets the example for the team.

## Where it helps day-to-day

- **Drafting code and tests.** Generate a first cut of a function, a boilerplate handler, or a table of unit tests — then I read, correct, and own every line.
- **Reviewing diffs.** A first-pass scan for obvious bugs, missing edge cases, or unclear naming before I do the real review.
- **Exploring unfamiliar code.** "Explain what this module does and where X is handled" gets me oriented in a new area far faster than grepping blind.
- **Writing docs and RFCs.** Turn bullet points into a readable draft, then I tighten the argument and check the facts.
- **Summarizing discussions.** Condense a long thread or meeting transcript into decisions and action items.
- **Rubber-ducking design.** Talk through an approach and have it poke holes — a cheap second opinion before I commit.

## Keeping judgment in the loop
