## Innovate at the edges, conserve at the core

Try the new framework on an internal tool, not the checkout flow. Strong safety nets (feature flags, good tests, fast rollback) let you experiment on important systems *safely*, the net is what makes boldness responsible rather than reckless.

Want to try a new database? Don't migrate the core transactional store to it on a hunch. Use it for a new, non-critical analytics feature first. Learn its real failure modes on something you can afford to lose, then decide.
